AI 110 · Module 5 · Interactive tools

Five widgets for verification & reliance.

Each exercise from Module 5 lives as its own embeddable HTML file. Covers the verify-vs-rely distinction, a verification-level finder, marking load-bearing claims, checking support over similarity, and a graded leveling check.

The tools

One file per exercise.

Each tool is a single self-contained HTML file. Host it, then drop the URL into an Articulate Rise Embed block (or any LMS that accepts an iframe). Click Open to preview a tool the way a student will see it.

Exercise · The core distinction

Verify or Rely?

Eight moves a student might make with an AI output. For each, decide whether it is verification (checking accuracy) or reliance (deciding how much weight to give it) — with a per-item explanation and a closing note on calibrated trust.

Verification Level Finder

Answer the eight questions about an AI output — system type, source trail, citations, topic, stakes — and the tool returns the highest verification level any answer triggers, with the exact actions for that level and what pushed it there.

Mark the Load-Bearing Claims

A chatbot summary of the Colgan Air 3407 accident, broken into clickable sentences. Students mark which claims carry real weight — the conclusions, facts, numbers, and regulatory change — and which are just framing, then grade against the answer.

04 Lesson 5.4 · Step 4
Exercise · Support over similarity

Support, Not Similarity

Five claim-and-source pairs. The source is real and on-topic every time — but does it actually back the claim? Students judge support, then see how the wording drifted: overstated, out of context, correlation-as-causation, or outdated.

Choose the Verification Level

Six situations. Pick the verification level that fits — the lowest level that still protects the work. Locked answers with immediate feedback, a sticky scorecard with the four-level legend, and a tuned closing message.

Embedding in Rise

Host each file, then in Rise insert an Embed block (Multimedia) and paste an iframe pointing at the URL.

Recommended embed heights: tools 01–04720px · tool 05 (quiz) → 1200px. See the Module 2 tools index for the full embed walkthrough.
