A citation that looks related is not the same as a citation that supports the claim. For each pair, read what the AI wrote and what the source actually says. Decide whether the source backs the claim — then see how the wording drifted.
The five questions to ask a source. Does it say the same thing? Does it apply to the same context? Is the AI overstating the conclusion? Did it drop the limitations, assumptions, or uncertainty? Did it turn correlation into causation? A real, on-topic source can still fail every one of these.
